BRONZE STARThe Lifesaving Society's Bronze Star develops swimming proficiency, lifesaving skill, and personal fitness. Candidates refine their stroke mechanics, acquire self-rescue skills, and apply fitness principles in training workouts. Bronze Star is excellent preparation for success in Bronze Medallion and provides a fun introduction to lifesaving sport. Summer Camps: Adventurers | Ages 8-10 | Born 2014 to 2016
Summer Camp: Adventurers Ages 8-10 4-Day Camp: $260.00 (discountable with membership) 5-Day Camp: $325.00 (discountable with membership) Summer Camp is a great time to explore and learn. Each week will have a wide variety of activities planned to keep our campers safe, active, and having fun! Camp activities may include outdoor adventures (i.e., geocaching, biking), indoor climbing, ice skating, crafts, sports, and games. Once per week campers will enjoy swimming in our fabulous Jayman BUILT Aquatic Centre and going on an off-site trip. Camp Hours: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm Before & After Care is included. Summer Camp: Explorers Ages 11-13 4-Day Camp: $320.00 (discountable with membership) 5-Day Camp: $400.00 (discountable with membership) This summer camp is jam packed with skill-building activities and exciting off-site trips. Our experienced and enthusiastic camp team will lead campers on adventures in and outside of Cochrane. Activities may include hiking on trails, paddleboarding, rafting, outdoor rock climbing, biking, swimming, and more. Specific activities and off-site trips will be announced in May. In this class you will experience a gentle blend of Pilates and Yoga. Core conditioning and joint range of motion exercises may be performed with the assistance of apparatus such as Gliders, Rubber Resistance, and small balls. This class is great for beginners and/or individuals with low back troubles.
