    • Young Rembrandts: Cartoon Drawing Ages 8-12

      Does your child have a great sense of humor? If so, your child will LOVE Young Rembrandts Cartooning. Students will jump headfirst into the world of cartooning by first learning expressions and will learn a variety of skills as their original characters seemingly emote and breathe.       We are back to school and back to drawing with Young Rembrandts! This session’s selection of drawings introduces our students to a fascinating world of color, pattern, and design. We say goodbye to our favourite summer memory in our detailed still-life drawing of a beach. We explore color usage and composition in our silly monster and fire truck drawings. You will be MOOOOOved with our stylized patterned cow drawing that not only challenges our technique but also our color scheme.     • Red Cross Babysitting Ages 11-15

      The Babysitting course, refreshed and revised, now has a greater emphasis on First Aid skills. The Canadian Red Cross Babysitting course covers everything from managing difficult behaviours to essential content on leadership and professional conduct as a babysitter. Babysitting promises to deepen and enhance the responsibility that older youth feel when caring for younger children.     • 2023 Winter - Lifesaving Bronze Star

      BRONZE STARThe Lifesaving Society's Bronze Star develops swimming proficiency, lifesaving skill, and personal fitness. Candidates refine their stroke mechanics, acquire self-rescue skills, and apply fitness principles in training workouts. Bronze Star is excellent preparation for success in Bronze Medallion and provides a fun introduction to lifesaving sport.       Learn 2 Curl - 4 Week program! Each week you will learn new skills that build on the week prior. You will learn the basics of the curling delivery, how to sweep rocks, keep score, and how to play the game of Curling. The lesson set is designed to cover the basics, so that you have fun, are safe, and feel confident enough to join a Curling League next fall!This lesson is aimed at Adults with no curling experience. Please bring with you pair of clean indoor footwear (runners are best), and dress in layers. Basic curling equipment will be provided (broom/slider).Curling is a physical sport, played on ice. A certain amount of flexibility and athleticism is required to enjoy the game, but modifications can be made to any delivery style (like using a stabilizer for balance, or delivering with a stick) so please come with an open mind as to what option will allow you to enjoy the sport the most.

We know the gym can seem intimidating when you're just getting started, and there tends to be so much conflicting information out there when it comes to women's fitness. The goal of Women on Weights is to help women looking to gain strength, feel confident, assured, and have the knowledge of how to feel empowered in the weight room. This specialized strength program instructed by a certified personal trainer will help encourage and empower you when walking into a gym. You will not only learn the basics on safety of lifting, but our trainer will also help you learn proper lifting techniques based on your anatomy and abilities. You will be educated on proper form, how to build a workout based on your week-to-week schedule, and how to become stronger each workout. This program will meet both in our private studios and in our fitness centre twice per week.
