We specialize in providing acting, drama and musical theatre classes to kids and adults in our community. We also partner with many local businesses and organizations to bring unique productions and theatre experiences to our town. We value accessibility and inclusivity, and we are committed to providing safe spaces for everyone to enjoy all the benefits that theatre provides, and to experience the magic of collaboration and creativity! All of our instructors are professionally trained, working actors, and we bring high quality and professional experience to everything we do. We are excited to be partnering with SLS Centre to bring you an amazing summer of drama camps! Camp DescriptionSleeping Giants Theatre summer camps are designed for aspiring actors or performance enthusiasts who want to learn all about acting, build confidence, and have fun in a supportive and creative environment. Drama camps are an incredible place to make lasting connections with like minded friends, all while exercising one's imagination muscles! During these camps, students will participate in a variety of activities that are designed to develop their acting abilities, including drama games, movement and voice technique, character development, improvisation, and more. Our experienced instructors are passionate about helping each student to grow as a performer and gain valuable skills that can be applied both on and off stage.Each camp will be facilitated by 2 theatre professionals, allowing us to work as a large ensemble and in smaller groups designed to give each student the best opportunity to grow and create. There will be daily outside play time, to get some sun in our eyes and find inspiration in nature. Campers will also take part in the making/assembling of props and costumes for their final play during camp time. At the end of the final day, family and friends are invited to attend a showcase performance, where students will have the opportunity to show off what they've learned and perform in front of a supportive audience.
