The Curling Centre located within SLS Centre has 6 regular sized sheets of curling ice, and 3 short sheets for practice, warm-ups, and youth curling. SLS Centre offers introductory programming for all ages and abilities. We are home to the Cochrane Curling Club which offers a variety of leagues for every skill level as well as bonspiels throughout the season. You’ll find something for everyone!

Curlers

Participants must bring a clean pair of indoor shoes, runners are best (something with a soft rubber sole)

Helmets required for all children 12 and under

Active supervision required for children 9 and under

Line of sight required on children 12 and under

Do not rest hands or knees on ice for extended periods of time, this causes damage to playing surface

Helmets required for all participants of Human Curling (we have a limited selection of climbing or bicycle helmets on hand, we encourage you to bring your own)

Novice curling equipment available to borrow

Return all equipment to storage boxes when finished

Inspect equipment prior to use to make sure it is in good repair - broken equipment can cause damage to the ice and can be dangerous to use

Report any damage or incidents to a staff member immediately

ABSOLUTELY NO CHEWING TOBACCO ANYWHERE IN THE FACILITY

Do not cover or obstruct view of any facility or advertising signage in any lobby areas

All requests for tables and chairs must be received one week in advance of tournaments

Access to Curling Lounge (On The Rocks) must be confirmed in advance

On The Rocks Lounge has limited hours - outside of operating hours, rental required to gain access
