Spray Lake Sawmills Recreation Park Society (“SLSRPS” or “the Society”), operating as SLS Centre, is a charitable organization driven by its mission to provide inspiring opportunities, empowering individuals to thrive. Since its inception in 2001, SLS Centre has evolved into one of the largest multi-use recreation facilities in Alberta and Canada. The Society also operates the Cochrane Arena, an ice arena with multiple tenant spaces.
The SLS Centre Board is currently recruiting Board Directors for appointment at the upcoming April 30, 2026 AGM, seeking philanthropic-minded, values-driven community champions with skills and experience in areas such as:
- Legal and compliance
- Governance, strategy and risk management
- Government relations
- Finance and audit
- Philanthropy
- Community services, non-profit and / or recreation
Ideal candidates will bring prior governance experience and a deep commitment to SLS Centre’s vision and mission. Applicants must be a current member of SLS Centre, in good standing.
