Our Aquatic Centre will be temporarily closed for its annual scheduled shutdown from Sept 2 - 30. This closure is essential for our team to carry out important maintenance, deep cleaning, and safety inspections.

This work ensures we continue to provide a safe, high-quality experience for all users. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we complete this important work and look forward to welcoming you back to a refreshed, well-maintained space.

As Kraft Hockeyville 2025 approaches, we’re excited to share how we’re investing the $25,000 prize from our amazing 2nd place win in Kraft Hockeyville 2024, and the incredible $25,000 matching donation from the Calgary Flames Foundation. Thanks to the tremendous support from these organizations and our community, Cochrane Arena is receiving some exciting upgrades—designed with you in mind!

After careful planning and listening to your feedback, we identified four key improvements that will have a big impact on your experience at the arena:

1. Lighting the Way Forward

We’ve completed a significant lighting upgrade to enhance visibility and reduce energy usage across the arena. This project brings better lighting control, improved energy efficiency, and a more enjoyable experience for everyone—whether you're playing, watching, or just stopping by.

2. Elevating Your Hydration Game

Responding to one of the most common community requests, we’ve installed a water fountain in the main lobby. This will ensure easy access to fresh water and help you stay refreshed and ready for the action.

3. The Unsung Hero: Rubber Flooring

Often overlooked, but critical to every player’s comfort, the rubber flooring in the washroom area of the dressing rooms and players' benches is being replaced. This upgrade will enhance both durability and comfort, ensuring a better experience for all who use these spaces.

4. Addressing your Flushstrations

A frequent request from our campaign was to address the condition of the bathrooms, and we’ve heard you loud and clear! We’re installing new partitions in the dressing room stalls. These improvements will provide a cleaner, more private environment for everyone. Additionally, in 2025, we are planning some much-needed upgrades to the public washrooms.

These upgrades reflect our commitment to you, the community that helped us win this amazing prize. We’re grateful for your ongoing support, and we can’t wait to unveil these improvements in the coming months.
